History

GML International Limited was established in 1983 to undertake corporate and sovereign advisory, debt recovery and restructuring, debt conversions, and principal investment in emerging markets. The firm later expanded its activities to include originating and structuring new financings for emerging market banks, companies and governments in the international syndicated loan, bond and trade finance markets.  In 1996, GML launched its first investment fund.  A series of new fund launches followed in the areas of emerging market credit, special situations and trade finance.

In 2007, GML International Limited migrated its regulated activities (investment advisory and management) to GML Capital LLP. Consequently, GML Capital LLP assumed GML International Limited’s U.K. regulatory status (i.e. authorised and regulated by the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (then Financial Services Authority)). GML International Limited acts as the managing member of GML Capital LLP. GML’s overseas offices are currently representative offices of GML International Limited.
