Stefan Pinter
Founding Partner, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer

Stefan is the longest-serving member of the group, having joined GML International Limited in 1989.  Stefan is responsible for the firm’s investment advisory and management activities, and is a board member for all Jersey-based funds for which the firm acts as investment manager. He led the firm’s emerging market sovereign advisory activities throughout the 1990s, and was the architect of numerous innovative external debt management programmes throughout Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS, North Africa and Latin America. Having conceived the firm’s first investment fund in 1996, he has led the evolution of the firm’s focus from sovereign advisory to emerging market fund management. He is also responsible for the group’s offices and activities in Kiev, Genoa and Tbilisi.  Stefan began his financial career in international corporate finance with Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York, followed by three years of Eurobond syndicate trading with Kidder, Peabody International in London. Stefan holds a BA (Cum Laude) in Economics from Harvard University (1983).

Theodore Stohner

Ted is responsible for running GML's businesses in Russia: debt trading, debt recovery, and creditor representation. Ted co-manages GML’s investment advisory and management business with Stefan Pinter, and acts as Portfolio Manager for GML’s liquid, illiquid and special situations high yield emerging market investment strategies. Prior to joining GML Ted worked for a boutique investment banking firm in Moscow. Ted holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
